Eisenberg

Gorgeous designs from the legendary maker, Eisenberg, are the best of the best in 1930 - 1950' costume jewelry. Very collectible and always in fashion, Eisenberg crisp "ice" designs shine on any jacket or dress.

Prices range from $100.00 to $275.00, depending on condition and rarity

Trifari

Albert Phillipi is an artist known for his jewelry designs for Christian Dior. He is the designer responsible for most of the Crown Trifari designs. Costume pieces of supreme quality and highly collectible, these gems range in variety of colors unlike any other 1950's designer. Most famous for his "Tutti Fruitti" and "Jelly Belly" molded glass "gems", our pieces range in price from $25.00 to $250.00, depending on condition and rarity

Weiss

Another famous 1950's costume jewelry make, Weiss is sometimes referred to as the "poor man's Eisenberg" - a fallacy since some Weiss pieces can fetch over $500.00. Similar in design and color range to Eisenberg, pieces range in price from $35.00 to $250.00

Unmarked Costume

These beauties are just as fun and collectible as their designer signed "cousins", except for that they are unsigned and therefore, not as desirable. These unsigned costume pieces range in price from $15.00 to $35.00

19th Century

Fabulous glistening paste and sometimes-indefinable metals, Victorian jewelry has unquestionably influenced many of today's popular designs. The Victorian woman's fascination with science and politics, along with botany and undying romanticism, give a range of expression in jewelry design and the materials used to produce it. Pieces featured here range in price from $45.00 to $250.00

17th Century

The grandeur and opulence of the 17th Century created jewelry that has an undeniable appeal. From early opulent paste to sentimental mourning Stuart Crystals, these rare jewels never lose their appeal or desire to the serious jewelry collector. These amazing jewels range in price from $750.00 to $2500.00

Fabulous Vintage Angel w Coin Drops

What an unusual vintage costume jewel; the little angel head with wings over flowers with faux pearls and faux coins dangly drops. In good condition, a little bit of the faux pearl is rubbed off but I can't see anything else to note. It is a romantic little Victorian Revival piece, probably circa 1940s and interesting how it has those coin drops, which I'm sure are original to the piece. Measures about 2" X 2"; with the drops 3" X 2", could make a nice gift for St. Valentines since it has a little angel on it!

Item # A004

Faux High Dome Opal and Rhinestone Brooch

A very cute vintage jewel circa 1960-1970, the high dome faux opal has lots of vibrant colors and very nice original rhinestones are all there, in what appears to be a gold plated setting. Looks like it originally had a suspension ring at the bottom for a drop and some of the jewelers glue shows on the reverse. Overall measurement is 2" X 1 ½", the central stones measures 1" X 1".

Item # A007

Rare Vintage Treble Clef Dancer Brooch

This is a very usual brooch that has been in my family for a long time, but no one ever wears it and I think it really should go to someone who is fascinated and collects vintage jewelry. Unmarked, the gold toned metal features a ballerina and male dancer among music notes with different color rhinestones set on a treble clef. The figures are fairly detailed and it appears that this pin was hand assembled. It is a very unusual design and I have never seen another one like it! Unsigned, I would date it circa 1940s. It measures 3" X 2"

Item # A013

Long Art Deco Sea Green and Aqua Faceted Crystal Necklace

This fabulous necklace is flapper length at 27", a total of 57" if unclasped! It features beautiful highly leaded crystals, the larger ones about ½" in diameter. Each crystal chain wired to the next; varying between sea foam green and sea foam blue colors. There is no marking on it and it appears to have been silverplate at one time. In very good condition without any missing or cracked stones, I would date it 1930-1940s. Becoming rarer and harder to find, especially in these colors!

Item # A022

Gorgeous Art Deco Faceted Sapphire Blue Crystal Necklace

A really lovely necklace with deeply faceted blue crystals hand set in a silver tone metal with a simply hook for closure. It is soooo hard to find these anymore! This necklace lays nicely on the collar bone or choker, depending on the lady, as it measures a total of 17 ½", not to include the hook. Each crystal measures about ½' across. Dating circa 1930-1940s and in very good condition without any cracks or chips that I could see with a 10x loop; some of the silver plate is rubbed off in some places, but this is very typical for a jewel of this age.

$195

Item # A040

Vintage Egyptian Dimensional Buttons - Set of 4

A very nice set of buttons each featuring the head of a Pharaoh in a silver tone type metal, each measures over ½" across. Origin unknown, I would estimate they are circa 1920-1940s when there was a great interest in King Tut.

Celestial Vintage Angels in Flight Earrings

Aren't these the sweetest little vintage angels!? Just in time for Valentines Day, these cute little cherubs measure 1 ½ X ½" at the widest point of the faux drop pearl. The design is unique, as each angel is suspended from a faux pearl with outstretched arms and a bigger faux pearl clamped down looks to be like a little skirt! I love jewelry with a personality, and that just what these are about, personality! Each angel was cast separately and differently, so their faces are not alike. In good condition, I believe they are made of steel and brass plated, they may be pot metal, but they are heavier than that. Most of the brass plating is still on and it is only worn off abit on the tips of the angel's wings and only noticeable upon close inspection. These are circa 1940s, likely American in origin.

Fabulous Faux Drop Pearl Earrings like Marilyn Monroe!

When I was a little girl, I saw a poster of Marilyn Monroe wearing earrings just like these! Obviously circa 1950s, these are good examples of jewelry of that era. These are the plastic variety with a circle of rhinestones in-between the drops. Usually, these types of earrings are fairly small in size. These are bigger measuring 1 ½ X ½ at the widest point of the drop. In very good condition, one pearl has a little scratch, but it does not affect the coating and is only noticeable upon close inspection. These are From the Fabulous Fifties and American in origin.

Item # A12

Victorian Sapphire and Diamond Gold Gentleman's Lapel Pin

A wonderful example of the Victorian's fascination with botany and etymology, this gentleman's gold lapel pin was hand made and set with small open back rose cut diamonds and a sapphire in the middle for his body! In very good condition, the gold pin has some patina on it, which is just oxidation and happens on real gold jewelry when it is left with other gold in jewelry boxes and closed off from air (like a treasure chest!) but this can be cleaned off. I have seen a similar example selling for $750.00, so perhaps this one is a fair bargain at better than half that price! It is circa 1850s, maybe a little before, and likely English in origin.
Please note, the fly is missing its left wing

Item # A14

Victorian Green Paste Haley Comet Clips

Very ornate Victorian clips made of a brass type metal and set with hand cut emerald paste. The design is very Haley Comet, which is unique for clips! I suspect these are shoe clips, but may be and certainly can be used for another purpose. I have had these in my cherished Victorian Haley Comet collection for over 20 years and I have never seen another pair like them. They are unmarked, prong set and are in good condition with just a bit of abrasion to a few of the paste upon very close inspection with a 10 x loop. Most likely English in origin, and circa 1900 or likely before.

Item # A17

Sweet Valentine Angels with a Heart Drop

This little pin is a Victorian replica of angels among a wreath with a drop heart. I would say it is a relatively modern piece, made of an inexpensive metal. It still merits as a quaint little pin that could make a nice inexpensive gift for Valentines Day. In very good condition, it is unmarked and unsigned. Date unknown

Item # A23

Retro Demi Parure Gold Plated Flowers with Pink Crystals

This charming demi parure was hand made in the early 1940s. It is gold plated with very nice bright pink crystals. Unsigned and unmarked, we can only guess that providence. It is very well made and the crystals, by appearance, seem to indicate it is an Austrian piece. It could, however, be American. Condition is good, but as it is typical with jewels of this era, some of the plate has rubbed off just a bit and there is a little patina on the back of the clasp and where it was originally soldered. This is another indication of the authenticity of the age. The set would make a very nice addition to any vintage jewelry collection, and more on the feminine delicate side of jewelry., the pin measures 2" x 1" and the earrings are 1 ¼" x ½".

$34

Item # A27

Very Haskell like Faux Pearl and Coral Earrings

These are unmarked earrings circa 1950s. Manufactured in the same or similar means as Haskell, Roberts and DeMario, they are however, unsigned. In good vintage condition with lovely aura borealis rhinestones, faux baroque pearls and faux carved coral, they very well made and would make a nice addition to any vintage jewelry collection, they measure about 1" in either direction.

$29

Item # A35

A very lovely tiny pin in excellent condition with lovely aura borealis rhinestones accented with deep orange enamel. Circa 1940s, it is unsigned, origin unknown it measures approximately 1 ¾" x 1 ¼".

Item # A39

Vintage Retro Aura Borealis Satin Glass Pin

The craftsmanship of this era is wonderful! I love how there is a dimensional look to the jewels, in this case, there are branches of auro borealis jewels cascading over the ruby and pink satin glass jewels. In an oval shape, this vintage jewel is in very good condition. Unsigned its origin is unknown; it measures 2 ¼" x 1 ½" .

Item # A42

Vintage Baby Blue "Wings" Rhinestone Earrings

These are really great vintage earrings, they came from a friend of mine's mothers jewelry collection. She had such wonderful vintage jewels and very hard to find designs. I have never seen this set before and the few times I did wear them, which was years ago, I did receive several compliments. I guess it's the way the "wings" sort of lay on the lobe and go up quite a length, very attractive! Anyway, these unsigned earrings are likely Rhodium, they are very high quality and circa 1950s. Measuring 1 ½" x 1" across, they are likely American in origin

Item # A55

Sweet Kirks Folly Angels with Heart Drops Earrings

Very nicely cast Kirks Follys Angel earrings with darling little dangling rhinestone hearts, just a perfect Valentines Day gift! They measure 1 ¾" x 1" and are in excellent condition!

Item # A58

Fabulous Roberts Chunky Faux Pearl and Mirror Back Rhinestone Earrings

All hand wired, these early Roberts earrings are quite fabulous and in the same genre as Miriam Haskell and would rival any of her pieces! In very good vintage condition they measure about 1" in either direction and are wired on the wonderful ornate filigree metal that he and Haskell typically used. Circa 1940-1950s, singed Roberts in script on the reverse.

Item # A60

Choice Vintage Mexican Sterling Butterfly Drop Earrings

Very nice silver earrings with a very Southwestern flavor, these vintage earrings are stamped Mexico and Sterling on the reverse. There is also a stamp on the stem of one of the backs but I can't read it and I do not think it is Taxco, but these are definitely similar to her designs. I would date these circa 1950-1970, very nice little butterfly tops with suspended pearl like shaped silver drops, Mexican in origin, in very good condition, they measure 1" x ½".

$29

Item # A62

Genuine Cultured Pearl and Onyx Necklace

This lovely black and white necklace composed of cultured pearls and black onyx is simple yet striking in design. The central onyx is surrounded by pearls and smaller onyx and would work very well for business as well as evening attire. A gold safety clasp to the back there is abit of wiggle room from the back of the clasp to the gems, but they are all secure on a double string. Could be restrung and knotted if desired or worn as we have it here. It measures 14" in length, circa 1980s and American in origin.

$65

Item # A64

Fabulous Retro Rhinestone Grape Cluster Drop Earrings

I originally thought these earrings were vintage and dated them to the 1940s, but after some investigation it was discovered that they are from the Victorian period! What great news, since I love earlier jewelry, especially when it's in such good condition, these paste earrings are sweet and have a lot of sparkle. Wonderfully made, circa 1900s they measure 1 ¼” x ½”. They are likely American in origin, but it's difficult to say. Condition is very good, but a few of the rhinestone/paste have a bit of a yellow hue, as seen in the photos, which can happen due to oxidation in earlier closed back jewelry. They are still in very nice shape and quite attractive.

$49

Item # A72

Natural Pearl Five Strand Necklace

These natural pearls are very tropical in appearance and would look great with any island ensemble, especially nice for vacation they can be worn and either dressed up or down, they work well with either. In very good condition, circa 1980s, likely imported for the American market.

Rare Retro Carved Chocolate BAKELITE SCARAB Pendant

Invented about the turn of the century (1907-1909) by Belgium chemist Leo Baekeland (aka Bakeland) bakelite is one of the earliest formable plastics. This chocolate bakelite Retro pendant was molded, then carved in this rare design of an abstract scarab beetle, which is a bit harder to find. The beetle has been used in the history of jewerly for centuries; this example which was popular in the Great Depression of the late 1930's. It measures 2 1/2" x 2" across and was made in a shiny creamy chocolate color. A bit more unusual to find a bakelite pendant, we usually find clips or bracelets. In excellent condition, there are just a few little tiny dots across the face. I do not know if this was part of the plastic production or not, they are not scars. This would be fabulous for any bakelite or Retro jewelry collection. Circa 1935-1940, probably English in origin and if I don't sell it soon, I promised my teenager that she could have it to make a hemp necklace with as she loves insects and told me that this is her color as she is a Scorpio! Seems fitting enough! Although I do not know if I will ever find one again.

VintageAurora Borealis Sarah Coventry Star Burst Brooch

Sarah Coventry jewelry was started in 1950 and is really an American icon of the American Business Woman. After WWII, so many women were laid off and men took their places in employment and as wage earners thus booting out women and reinforcing the idea that a "woman's place is in the home". So, one of the few ways women could earn an income was with Tupperware, Avon or Sarah Coventry jewelry with at home parties. After ceasing production in 1984, we can no long acquire any new designs, but we have a history of these fabulous high quality costume jewels of an earlier time and these we can admire, wear and respect. This particular Sarah Coventry is quite striking with a sun or star burst design, maybe Rhodium setting, it does look like it, but that would be usual for Sarah Cov, and I believe it is silverplate. It has wonderful aura borealis rhinestones with a central larger aura borealis stone in the middle. Measuring 2 1/2" x 2", I would date this circa 1950-1960, signed Sarah Cov on the reverse and of course is American in origin!

RETRO Silver Rose Gold Plate Faux Ruby & Paste Earrings

The term "Retro" was a word coined by Christies Auctioneer Francois Curiel who was head of their jewelry department in the 1970s. It refers to a particular design and style from about 1935-1945. What we normally find in costume Retro jewelry is that it is of high quality, normally in a sterling setting with a Rose Gold overlay or plate and set quality faux gems, glass or paste. The costume jewelry of this period is so good and so high quality that it is hard to tell is apart from fine Retro jewelry produced in gold and fine gems of the same period unless closely inspected. Here we have a nice example of Retro jewelry in a pair of earrings set in sterling (stamped on the reverse) with a rose gold plate and faux rubies and faux diamonds in an organic free flowing dimensional flower form. These earrings are exceptional in quality and design as can be discerned by looking at the back. Of course they would make a fabulous addition to any Retro jewelry collection, they are in excellent condition, measuring 1 1/8" x 1 1/8" and are likely American in origin, possibly French.
